About

Hi, I’m Amelia.

I’m an Early Childhood Teacher and Music Specialist - singing and dancing with young children for over a decade.

I use music as a tool for listening, for calming, for creative movement, to release emotion, to coordinate the body and brain... the opportunities are endless. Music has been my lifeline in the classroom. I knew I was doing something right when I realised that even after a short burst of any music activity, the classroom turned to peace and became a hive for deep, meaningful learning.

This became the birth of Rhymey: my desire to transform the way music education is seen in early childhood.

Rhymey is all about creating musical experiences that are short, engaging, brain priming and child-centered… all backed by science.

Rhymey celebrates music as more than just a specialist lesson or a YouTube clip: Music is universal, it’s brain changing and it can be accessed at any time of any day… with no musical experience required.

Did we say, “backed by science”?

Rhymey works closely alongside Megan Kelsall who is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 30 years experience of working with young children and families.

Megan is committed to providing the scientific evidence of why the Rhymey method and repertoire achieves real results for children who have trouble independently regulating their emotions and their behaviours in a group setting.

Our number one priority is to make the Rhymey content as inclusive as possible, and with Megan’s expertise we will continue to provide a scientific based approach to simple, joyful and engaging musical play and learning.
