Description

A finger play song that can be incorporated in one-to-one interactions with babies, all the way through to whole body movement explorations for preschoolers and beyond.

FOCUS AREAS: [proprioception] [active listening] [low energy] [inhibitory control] [reflexes] [heavy work]

Extension?

  • Preschool and beyond: Can the children explore how a mouse would creep, a cat would stalk, a mouse would scamper away?
  • Using classical music or other music: Find music that can incorporate the creep or scamper of a mouse and the long, stretching walk of a cat.

How else can you move and walk to fast and slow music? What are other ways your body can move to these kinds of music (beyond dancing)? Eg moving through sticky honey, floating like a cloud.
