Extension?
- Toddlers: This song can be a simple song to be used as a bounce, a clapping song or even an opportunity to learn to jump like a bouncing potato!
- Use bean bags, egg shakers (warning: they make sound!), or felt potatoes to pass around as the song is sung. When the educators calls “STOP!” - wherever the props have landed on, those children can transition to something else OR come into the middle of the circle, continuing to sing and tap tto the beat on their knees.
- Kindergarten and Stage 1: Can the children pick up/put down the prop in front of their classmates to the steady beat throughout the song?
Lyrics:
One potato, two potato, three potato, four!
Pass it on and don’t get caught with three potato more…
(STOP!)
