One song, many ways:

  • Ask the children, "what movement would you like to make next?" Have them incorporate their own ideas.
  • The “STOP!” part is open to improvisation - where can we put our hands next on our bodies?
  • For all ages: Make it as simple or as complex as you would like depending on your age group.
  • Use either scarves (toddlers) to mimic the horses reigns, or tapping sticks (preschool and beyond) to let the children try to mimic your demonstrated galloping beat.

Lyrics:

Oh gallop away, oh gallop away,

Oh gallop away, today today.

Oh gallop away, oh gallop away,

And STOP with your hands on your [body part]
