One song, many ways:

  • "How many fingers can we hold up now?"
  • "Can we blow out each candle, one at a time?"
  • "Can we hum this song?" "Can we blow raspberries (lip trill) to this song?"
  • Toddlers: Can they hold up their hands and fingers for you and you can sing to them, inviting them to blow out their "candles" at the end.
  • Toddlers: Cover their fingers with a tissue or a scarf (a material that is light) - encourage the child to blow out the "candle" and blow the tissue off their fingers.

Lyrics:

Candle burning bright, twinkling in the night.

Now it's time to say goodnight and gently blow you out [blow out candles].
